Finn has some new things going on lately; he's teething so he's a little cranky and drools all over the place. We are preparing ourselves for years and years of drool, and welcome it because we know that the stage of massive barf may soon be over.
He now smirks more than he smiles and then just to give you some extra love he sticks his tongue out at you like a little frog. We think Finn has also discovered the wide range of noises you can make with your mouth, he's been cooing for a while now, but just this week he's become very vocal and a little chatter box. It's awesome to see all of these little changes he's going through weekly, however now that mom is back to work it's makes me sad not to see him strut his little skills all day.
On another note, it still seems like daily things just get worse and worse for Chase and I. I've succumb to making a list of the things that are currently piling stress and dismay in our lives hoping to cross them off and enjoy the phrase "this too shall pass", but my list is only growing exponentially every day. We have so many things to be thankful for and are working extremely hard to find joy in the small things, but I sure wish this season in our lives would end...like maybe right now... : )
Praying for you today. Don't know what's up but we are no strangers to tough times, severely sick children, lost jobs, lost relationships, loneliness, lack of finances, significant marital challenges...you get the idea.
ReplyDeleteOnly one thing stays the same and is worth standing on. God promises not to leave us. He is the One you can depend on to carry you when you can't step forward. He will illuminate your darkness with peace and never ceases to work all things for good-just not usually in the ways we see fit. Bummer, I know. But keep hanging on, He is there.
Love,
Karissa
