Today was the day... For a month now Finn has been eating rice cereal and doing awesome. I decided to wait until 7 months to try more solids, and since today he's 7 months exactly, why wait? Today we had carrots for lunch. Finn is never hesitant to put anything in his mouth, but as soon as I approached him with a spoonful of carrots, he had the look of fear on his big-cheeked face.
The first few bites were a little alarming, he shuddered and gagged allot. Not to worry though, he seemed to get used to the taste and began to grab for the spoon (always a good sign). I see now why moms make such ridiculous faces and mmmmm noises when feeding their kids new and unusual foods, it's more like coaching.
Poor guy, he's actually shuddering from the weird new taste...
All in all he's fed and happy, hopefully carrots will sit well in his little belly, guess we'll have to wait and see...
