outside time...

This last week was so beautiful Chase, Finn and I spent the majority of it outdoors. Finn is so much like his mom and dad in the way he gets grouchy when he's cooped all day inside.
We've spent hours and hours in the backyard, playing, doing yard work, taking naps, and hanging out in Travis and Jessie's pool (which Finn stole from their yard)!
We had a fun visit from uncle Steven, and also took a drive over to Seattle for a day, oh how I miss living there.
Finn and Chase lounging at the park...
This guy is so close to crawling its ridiculous. He does this and scooting all day long!
The game of the day was trying to wake up daddy...
He was splashing and trying so hard to get the little hippo to come back to him, look at hippo mocking him...
I am constantly in awe of how much Finn looks like Chase, and how beautiful his big blue eyes are.
uncle STEVEN!!!
Finn figured out how to suck water through the straw!
We have no teeth yet, which is surprising to both Chase and I, since we both had teeth very young. Finn rolls and scoots all over the place nonstop, and gets in this yoga plank position like he's trying push ups. He's eating all sorts of things now, and loves it all especially green beans! Before I hop into bed at night I sneak into Bug's room and watch him sleep (which these days is on his side, sometimes in the fetal position). I love how tough and sturdy he is now and how much he looks like and stares after his dad. I love how funny he is and hearing him laugh is my daily joy. Both Chase and I watch at how observant Finn is, and how he looks at lights when they come on and off, and his new found understanding and delight of cause and effect. Finn will be 8 months on Sunday; it seems so bittersweet to me; loving watching him grow, and missing his newborn smell and size. He's also developed a little attitude ( I have no idea where he got that from :), which we have to work on to put at bay. Finn and I have been working up the nerve to give dad the ultimatum; little brother or great dane...
