coach house stable...

Well I got the blog to work! Here are some pictures of the place we've called home since we left the states. Behold; The Coach House Stable (not to be confused with The Coach House, which is around the corner).

Most of the homes in the UK are named instead of having house numbers. It could be confusing but the post code (zip code) system is much more efficient. Our house is an old stable remodeled into a home. It's small, drafty, and I've never felt more like a hobbit in my life, but we've loved living here spiders and all.
Here is our little kitchen, yes folks that is the clothes washer & dryer (one unit). On the counter is the freezer, and below is the refridgerator. Since we can't keep too many groceries in the house Finn and I walk to the market almost daily, it's only a few blocks away.
The house was furnished for us, but I have tried to brighten it up a bit. Pretty flowers my mother and father in law bought me : )

This is our sun room. Most homes have them here, and it looks out to our garden.

Unfortunately we had to move from this little cottage. Long story short, the 3 bedroom house was too big for Chase, Finn, and I-so we moved on Saturday to an apartment a few blocks away. I'm going to miss the quirks of the house and being so close to the park, but since winter is coming I am thankful that we won't have to worry about being too cold and we now have a garage to park the car. Cheers!
