Last Sunday I took 3 trains to Windsor to visit a dear family friend Karen.
To back up a bit; Chase has been really sick off and on for a month now, since he's been overseeing work being done outside in a factory with no doors or heat, and it's been 30 and below here. Finn got the sickness of course, and first thing Sunday morning I woke up feeling awful-I almost fainted twice on my way to the train station.
Anyway, I made it to Windsor, which is a lovely city by the way. Karen and I toured the castle- AMAZING, and I've seen a few castles here. The Queen was actually at the castle while we were there, so exciting!
After a good meal, and even better conversation, it was time for home. It took 4 trains and me sprinting (literally) across London's west side to finally get home. But I am very thankful for the girl time and for the alone time with a book, which I haven't had since we moved here.
And... When Mommy's away, Finn and Daddy did play...
Finn's new favorite game is "Ready, Steady, GO!" He gets inside of his Lego box, and Chase pushes him down the hall really fast.
This week our little family is on the mend pretty well and getting ready for Christmas next week. I still have some shopping to finish and am praying the post and shippings are delivered on time!
