Finn and I have been indoor cats this past week for the most part. The temperature has dropped so much, it's literally freezing here. Chase and I have been comparing the weather to Chicago's winters; bitter cold and windy. Aside from the gym and lunching downtown with a new friend we made this week, we've mostly stayed at home. It's been beautifully sunny, just too cold to walk around in for hours at a time.
Friday night Chase and I got a little dressed up and went to his work Christmas party, which was held at the Chester Race Course-a pretty fancy place. Normally in the States EI hosts a big family breakfast for Christmas, but not here in the UK. It was nice to have a night out with grown ups and meet so many people that Chase works with.
It's snowed quite a bit here this week, but it began to melt on Saturday, so Chase took Finn out to the courtyard in our apartment complex to play. There was a massive warehouse fire 3 blocks from us this week affecting 50 businesses, so the air here smells like BBQ.
That night we built a Lego tower from floor to ceiling. It took us about 8 tries to get it stabilized. Ummm, whoever thinks a Saturday night spent at home with a 2 year old isn't exciting, obviously has never hung out with us!
