Last week Finn got the stomach flu. At first I thought it was just food poisoning because he never had a fever and it only lasted 2 days. He was cranky and very clingy to Chase and I, and then as quickly as it came, it went away.
To maximize on some R&R we headed over to the Nichols Mt. House with Gma, Gpa, and some very dear friends. To our delight, there was SO MUCH SNOW! Although still a bit cranky and grouchy, Finn was feeling much better than the days prior, unfortunately I was really starting to feel under the weather, but trying to tough it out.
Here are some pictures of our fun day in the snow and sunshine!
Sledging down the hill with daddy...
Walking back up the hill...
The next day we headed into Plain and Leavenworth for some lunch. Here is little Finni being "nerdy" (Chase and I can only hope he'll grow to be as much of a nerd as his parents are)...
At the hat store!
We even stopped at the train station because we love trains..
Finn was fast asleep with in 10 minuets on the road home...
The last few days I've been bed ridden with the stomach flu. I honestly can't remember the last time I was this sick and in SO much pain. I am so grateful to Finn for being such an independent and joyful guy during the day while Chase was at work. He even snuggled with me on the couch (for like 3 seconds, but I'll take it)! I dare say that today I feel much more clear headed, praise God!
We are packing today for a weekend away in Chicago and saying goodbye to Chase who is leaving from there to the UK for a month. Please pray for ridding our home of the flu, and that Chase doesn't get it! Also that we all travel safely and for Chase as he runs in the Chicago half marathon on Sunday.

Good luck Chase and I hope you feel better soon Kim! All my love to you both and especially Finn!!!
