Well we're home... Actually, we've been home for exactly 4 weeks tonight at 6:00pm. The transition was interesting, to say the least. It took Finn and I a little over a week to adjust to the time change. It took 5 minuets for Chase to insist on driving his car somewhere. It took one VERY weird driving experience to get used to driving on the opposite side of the road and in a much larger vehicle than I grew accustom to.
I am so happy to be reunited with my friends and family, and my church. Chase and I missed our church SO much while travelling.
When we got home, Chase had 6 months of pent up "I want a project" energy. He immediately began building a built in desk to our family room wall to replace our office furniture that we've decided we no longer need. Finn will soon be moving into the "office" as it is a much bigger room, and once again we'll have a guest room. No we are not pregnant, and no we don't plan on becoming pregnant any time soon, so stop asking : )
So we were happy as clams living in the UK, and we are happy as clams living back home. Whatever life's blessings bring we'll be going with the flow, trusting in God's grace, and laughing the whole time. (OK, done with the OVERALL update).
I usually cut the hair in this family, but I blew up our buzzers in the UK, so Chase and Finn were spoiled by getting regular hair cuts (at a ridiculously cheap price) done by professionals. One fine Saturday morning recently, Chase and Grandpa Dave decided to buzz Chase's head and Finn's head. Finn is such a good boy when he gets his hair cut. He's very still and looks around with his big blue eyes, occasionally whispering "Tickle, tickle."
Finn is just learning to like to watch T.V. not that it's something we're "encouraging" but we recently popped in WALLE, Finn watched it for 20 minuets straight without moving, saying "WAYEE, EVAA".
Below is Finn's first ever track suit compliments of cousin Addie. He looks like such a big boy in it!!!
And here is some amazing additions to Finn's train set from Uncle Cammy and Auntie Jincy. Finn will play trains ALL DAY LONG, so in fact I play trains ALL DAY LONG.
So we're home and settled. It's been nice to be able to get out of the house a little more often just myself, and even more nice to spend quality time with everyone I love, that I missed. This weekend we're off to play in some snow!!!
