cheers...

Outside of downtown Chester, there is a neighborhood called Hoole, which is quite similar to the Magnolia valley in Seattle. This is where I've found all of the other 2 year olds in Chester hiding. I've recently joined a play group at a local church in Hoole on Thursday mornings. The church has every toy imaginable for the 25-30 kids who have ample room to run and play for the hour and a half while I drink coffee and chat with other British mom's. This little group has been a huge answer to prayer for me, as the slow sting of missing my girl friends at home sets in. Also Finn is at the age where he needs to be playing with other kids on a regular basis.
Today on our run in the park behind our house, I discovered a secret gated playground-it's seriously 1 minuet from our front door! Finn met a little girl whose 1 month younger than him and speaks perfect Welsh (again it's basically gibberish). So funny to watch him look at her sideways as she's chatting at him, but what made Yada's mom and I laugh so hard was when they gave each other a goodbye kiss and lots of waves. Even the UK ladies love him : )

Chase and I discovered a BBQ Rib joint last night. We felt kind of weird as Americans eating there since we want to join in on the culture here, but there is nowhere to eat out for dinner with Finn! Every restaurant turns into a rowdy football pub at 5pm, or is too fancy to take our little man. Anyway I'm sure we'll find more places as time goes on until then, Cheers!
