So today we took a drive out to Chatsworth Estate-otherwise known as MR. DARCY'S HOUSE!!! Yes it's true, the most recent Pride and Prejudice movie was in part filmed here, about an hour away from our home. This place was amazing! We got to tour inside the home and all around the gardens. The family that owns the estate can't afford to keep this place running anymore (as is the case with most giant estates in England) so it's open to visitors.
I basically freaked out the entire time we were there, I was so excited. It was so fun to see the exact spots where the movie was filmed. I took SO many pictures!
I didn't expect to enjoy the grounds as much as I did. There were several different gardens, fountains, mazes, hikes, and lots of grass for Finn to run around. We didn't make it to the Adventureland, where they have a huge kids play area and petting zoo.
It was kind of a magical day for me, probably like Disney Land for children (or me again). Road trip playlist included Third Eye Blind's self titled album and the Blue album, and half a Lady Gaga song for Chase : )
