bath[time]...

After our WRC adventures we headed to the Cheddar Gorge. I didn't get any pictures because the weather was awful. You know how real champagne is from Champagne, France? Well, real cheddar cheese is from the Cheddar Gorge in England. This canyon we drove through was so magnificent, I think we may go back just to explore in some better weather. After that we were on to Bath. Bath is England's first spa/ resort city thanks to the Romans and to the natural hot springs in the 18th century.
This is our B&B, which I proudly found for a ridiculous price only steps away from the city center.
If you ever get the opportunity to visit Bath, I would highly recommend it, it's a gorgeous city.

At the actual Roman Baths.

At the Royal Crescent, which is an arc of 30 houses. This was by far my favorite site in Bath, however it was Finn's least favorite.
I somehow talked Chase into going to the Fashion Museum, which surprisingly was very interesting for him. I loved seeing the progression of styles and fashion throughout the years. We also got to see Princess Diana's dresses on display, which is a huge deal now because of Prince William's recent engagement, and everyone here is fanatically watching Kate Middleton's style in similarity to Diana.
Chase totally forced me to try this on and then laughed at me.
Oh the shoes...
After we left Bath we headed to Wookey Hole, which are deep caves with a little bit of a ghost story attached. The tour was exciting and fun, but alas no flash photography.
Last but not least we stopped by Stonehenge before we headed home. We didn't go inside because it is pretty uneventful, but beautiful just the same. As much as we do and see here in England, it seems that we always find more and more we want to see. For now I'm busy planning weekend trips for the next few months that we have left.
On another note; Finn is talking so much these days. He's putting 2 to 3 words together, and becoming such a joy to communicate with. He's also quite the little clown and helper to Chase. Chase showed him how to use a screw driver while they were building a shoe rack and a wardrobe- and was actually helping Chase! Chase's work hours are lightening up so he's often home before 7pm these days. Christmas shopping is in full effect in Chester right now, with loads of tourist infiltriating my quiet little town. We are trying to figure out what we want to do for Christmas, if we want to stay home or go away for the weekend and be busy so we don't get homesick. We've had a lot of beautiful chilly days here, with a dapple of rain here and there.
Miss you all at home!
