llandudno take 2...

In advance I ask for your forgiveness for the length of this post. We took so many pictures last Saturday, I didn't want to leave anything out. Since Chase wasn't able to come to Llandudno with Finn and I last time we came when Dave and Denise were in town- I really wanted him to see it before the weather turned too sour on the coast. Here are my guys at the top of the town in Llandudno over looking the Irish Sea and city.

Another reason for my urgency to get back here was that Sunday the 31st is when the Copper Mines close for the season. Mix a little history, science and dirt, and BAM; Chase, Finn, and I are there!

On our way down the hill back to Llandudno city.

And on to Conway- to visit Conway Castle!
In a couple weeks we are heading to Bath for a weekend holiday, but not before we stop to see the WRC races in Wales. I could never begin to explain how excited Chase is about seeing Rally Racing in real life. So when we got to Conway and thanks to the guy at the Kabob shop who told us they were showing some of the vintage rally cars of course we had to go.

The view from Conway Castle. The far hills is the top of Llandudno City, and where we went to the mines.

While touring the castle it started raining harder than I've seen it so far in England. We were SOAKED. I got to dry my wet hair under the bathroom hand dryers which reminded me of youth group Oregon Coast days. We also met up with an old friend of mine from high school who is living in Amsterdam for work.

Chase and I didn't do anything for Halloween this year since it isn't much of a UK holiday. I was a little disappointed, but enjoyed being together as a family just the same.
Guy Fawkes Day is this week and that's pretty huge. Guy Fawkes unsucessfully tried to blow up Parliament on November 5th 1605. It's a massive holiday in England. Everyone celebrates with fireworks and a replica doll of Guy Fawkes burning on bonfires, kind of morbid and completely politically incorrect, but that's the UK for ya, and to be totally honest it's totally awesome!
