On Friday, Finn and I indulged Chase and went as a family in the bloody-freezing cold to watch the World Rally Championship in Wales. This race never happens in the United States and rarely even has an American driver in the competition. This year Ken Block (you might know from Nitro Circus) raced as the only American to compete. To say that this was a "big deal" for Chase doesn't even come close. I'm pretty sure Chase would sell me on the black market to be a rally race driver, I'm happy he was able to cross something off of his bucket list.
Above is Chase who is VERY happy and Finn who is NOT happy because of the 50-80mph winds we'd been having that weekend. And you can see the Citron symbol mowed into the background hill.
Tokyo drift...
USA! USA!
Even though the Swedish flag is all tangled, Chase took this picture for my dad. BTW Dad, the Swedish fans are INSANE!
This is one of the rally cars driving to another leg of the race, and Chase tailgated it the whole way, we almost died 4 times, and yes I counted!
Yahh, shuure-ya- betcha der insane, Der are SVeedish Don'cha know. Vaat ver ya sthink'n?
ReplyDeleteThanks Chase for the pic. Gotta love those Swedish. How many cars were actually Swedish makes though?
